Yxkaa are carnivorous pack hunters native to Charon.
Physiology[]
Yxkaa are squat bipeds that somewhat resemble the theropods of Dinoterra's past. They have three toothy mandibles that come together to form a triangular head, and a large headcrest with nine sharp points. Yxkaa are dark colored with purple bioluminescent stripes. The anterior section of their bodies is blunt and thick, to help balance the creatures. They also have digitgrade legs that end in three-clawed feet. Their sense of electroperception is very strong, even when compared to other species native to Charon.
Yxkaa rerproduce sexually, producing dozens of eggs. They bury these eggs in loose soil, where they may sit, unchanged, for months or years, sometimes even decades. When the yxkaa chicks hatch, they will stay in the same area, eating anything they can safetly catch. Within a month they are fully mature, and will group together to hunt in packs. They only live for a few months before dying.

Yxkaa can usually be found in plains or wastelands. They hunt in enormous packs, usually consisting of about 100 individuals. They move from area to area, devouring everything they can. They will coordinate attacks and use their numbers to bring down larger prey.
