Yizzen are large, gourd-like plants native to Charon. They are egg-shaped, and filled with spongy tissue that stores ammonium hydroxide. They are found all over the planet, and can survive for years on stored moisture, even in arid climates. Charonites will remove sections of the plant and squeeze the fluid into their mouths if ammonium hydroxide is scarce.
