A short story about the creation of the Verplaatsen. Because they were not produced by evolution.
Chapter 1[]
Sator stood in his position at the piloting position of the fighter jet. They were leading a squad of standard fighters into Viperius. It was what would be a crucial year in Verplaatsen history. A planet appeared on the viewscreen. They accelerated towards it.
"Prepare to land," Sator commanded. "We're about to make history."
The fighters set down on the surface of the planet. Sator co-ordinated the troops, and then sent them out while he watched them on his monitor. The mission was simple. They had travelled through a wormhole back to 8 billion BM; the year they evolved sapience. Their job was to ensure that happened.
