Silicis Bugs have chubby bodies with two grabbing and six grappling legs. They flap their wings in a figure-8 motion, which is the only way they can physically fly.
These creatures grind up and eat rocks, which are the most common resource on the planet. However, they still need water, and so congregate around the few lakes that exist.
Since these bugs are the most common animals on Petaurista, the Atrenids will often capture some and use them to clear away rock formations in construction, or sometimes even as pets.
- The name of this creature in Latin is effectively "rock bug."
