The Rignath Galaxy is around fifteen thousand to sixty thousand light years across, however typically only thirty thousand across in most places. It appears to have varied density, with a single section being quite dense towards the center, where a supermassive black hole dwells, although towards the 'left' part of the galaxy, it gets far less dense.
There are several nebulae around the galaxy, as well as a small, extremely bright satellite. This has an extremely low metallicity, having plenty of large giants. An abundance of hydrogen is seen here.
