Aaengaaen have heavy bodies, and thick, sprawling legs to support this weight. They have a beaked head attached to a long neck. Despite this, they are only about a foot tall.
Both males and females are believed to be of uniform color, and it has so far been impossible to tell them apart.
Aaengaaen have been observed to eat plants and fruits. Interestingly, they only eat the overgrowth of these foods, leaving bushes intact. This behavior has been compared to "clipping the hedges".
Aaengaaen spend their day eating, walking around the region in search of food. They are relatively slow, but tend to travel in groups to crop bushes more efficiently.
